No cookies are set
Ping Pong Arcade does not set any cookies. There are no session cookies, no preference cookies, no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies, because there is no server session, no analytics and no advertising currently running.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, look at the storage panel for this site, and the cookie list will be empty.
What we use instead
Game data is kept in localStorage. It differs from a cookie in three ways that matter for privacy: it is never attached to network requests, it is readable only by this site in this browser, and it has no expiry — it persists until you or your browser removes it.
Every key this site creates is prefixed 'ppa:', which makes it easy to identify and easy to remove.
| Key | What it holds | Why |
|---|---|---|
| ppa:record:<game> | Best score, best rally, best time, times played | So each game can show your personal best |
| ppa:favorites | A list of game slugs you have saved | So the favourites page has something in it |
| ppa:recent | The last sixteen games you played, with timestamps | So the recently played list works |
| ppa:playCounts | How many times each game has been played here | So the popular page can order by your own activity |
| ppa:prefs | Sound on or off, colour theme, reduced motion | So your interface choices persist |
| ppa:tournament:<game> | Current round and wins in a bracket | So a tournament can be resumed on this device |
Why there is no consent banner
Consent requirements under laws such as the EU ePrivacy Directive apply to storage that is not strictly necessary for a service the user requested — principally tracking and advertising storage. This site has none of that.
The localStorage entries listed above exist only to deliver functions you asked for by playing a game or saving a favourite, and none of them is used to track you across sites or build a profile. Showing a consent banner for storage that does none of those things would imply tracking that is not happening.
If advertising or analytics is ever added to this site, a genuine consent mechanism will be added before those scripts load — not a decorative one.
Clearing your data
Use the button below to remove every key this site has created in this browser. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone: your scores, favourites and history will be gone.
Stored on this device: checking…
This clears every Ping Pong Arcade key from this browser, including your best scores, favourites and recently played list.
You can also clear it through your browser's own settings, usually under site data or site permissions for pingpongarcade.xyz, or by using a private browsing window, in which nothing persists after you close it.
Third-party storage
No third-party scripts run on this site, so nothing outside pingpongarcade.xyz sets cookies or storage through it. There are no embedded videos, no social widgets, no comment systems, no font services and no tag managers.
If that changes — most likely through advertising — this page will be updated to name the provider and describe what it stores, before the change goes live.
