The short version

We do not collect personal data. We have no account system, no login, no contact database and no server to store anything on. Your game scores, favourites and play history are kept in your own browser and never leave your device.

Everything below is the detail behind that summary. It describes the site as it is today, and it will be updated before anything changes.

What is stored on your device

The games use your browser's localStorage to remember things between visits. All of it is gameplay data, all of it is stored under keys prefixed with 'ppa:', and none of it is transmitted anywhere.

  • Best score, best rally, best time and best stage for each game you have played
  • How many times you have played each game in this browser
  • Your list of favourite games
  • Your recently played list, capped at sixteen entries
  • Sound on or off, and your colour theme choice
  • Tournament and bracket progress for the games that have one

None of this identifies you. There is no name, no email address, no IP address and no device identifier in any of it. It cannot be read by us, it does not sync between your devices, and clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

You can clear it at any time from the cookie policy page, which has a button that removes every key this site has created.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for anything. Preferences are stored in localStorage, which is a different mechanism with different behaviour — it is not sent with network requests and it is not readable by any other site.

Because no cookies are set and no tracking runs, there is no consent banner. Adding a banner for a site that tracks nothing would be misleading rather than protective.

Analytics

There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no privacy-focused alternative, no self-hosted tracker, no pixels and no beacons. We do not know how many people visit, which pages they read or which games they play.

If analytics is added in future, this section will be updated to name the provider and describe what it collects, and it will be stated before the change goes live rather than afterwards.

Advertising

Advertising is not currently running on this site. The pages include reserved, clearly labelled spaces where advertising would appear, and those spaces are empty. No advertising script of any kind is loaded, and no advertising network currently receives any data from your visit.

We intend to apply to Google AdSense. If and when advertising is enabled, this section will be updated before it goes live to state the date, name the provider, and describe what that involves: third-party vendors including Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings. A consent mechanism will be added for visitors in regions that require one, before any advertising script loads.

We are stating this in advance rather than writing a policy for a system that does not exist yet. Until this section says advertising is live, it is not.

Hosting and server logs

This site is static files served by a web host. Like essentially every web server, that host may keep standard access logs containing IP addresses, request times, requested URLs and user-agent strings, for security and operational purposes. Those logs are created by the hosting infrastructure, not by anything on this site, and we do not use them to build profiles or track individuals.

The contact form

The contact page has a form, but it does not submit anything to a server, because there is no server to submit to. It assembles the message and opens it in your own email application, from which you choose whether to send it.

That means nothing you type into the form reaches us unless you press send in your email client. If you do email us, we will have your email address and whatever you wrote, and we keep it only for as long as it takes to reply.

Children

This site is suitable for general audiences and contains no violent, adult or gambling content. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.

Your rights

Data protection rights such as access, correction, deletion and portability apply to personal data held by an organisation. We hold none, so there is nothing to request access to, correct or export.

The one piece of data associated with you is the gameplay data in your own browser, and you control it completely: clear it from the cookie policy page, or through your browser's site data settings, at any time and without asking us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the change will be described here with the date it took effect. Material changes — adding analytics or advertising, for example — will be stated before they go live rather than afterwards.
