Who is responsible

All content on this site is written and edited by Alex Morgan, who is also responsible for the games themselves. There is no anonymous content on Ping Pong Arcade and no guest or sponsored posts. Where a page carries a byline, that person wrote it and is accountable for it.

Editorial decisions are not influenced by advertising. No advertiser has or will have any input into what is published here, and no content on this site is paid for by a third party.

What we publish

Content on this site falls into three categories, and each is held to a different standard.

  • Game descriptions describe our own games. Everything in them is checked directly against the game's configuration and code, so a number that appears in a description is the number the game actually uses.
  • Mechanics guides explain how our arcade systems work. They are written from the implementation, not from general knowledge, and they say explicitly when they are describing our model rather than the real sport.
  • Playing guides give advice on getting better at these games. They come from actually playing them, and they describe what works rather than what sounds plausible.

How a piece is produced

Every article starts from a specific question a player might have — not from a keyword. The outline is built around answering that question completely, and anything that does not serve the answer is cut before it is written rather than padded out to reach a word count.

Drafts are checked against the running games before publication. If a guide says a window is seventy milliseconds, that figure is read out of the game's configuration rather than estimated. If a guide gives tactical advice, it has been tried in the game it refers to.

Use of AI assistance

AI tools are used in producing content on this site, for drafting, structuring and editing. We are stating that openly because a site that used them and implied otherwise would be misrepresenting itself.

What does not change is the accountability. Every published page is reviewed against the actual games before it goes live, every factual claim is checked against the implementation, and a named editor is responsible for the result. Nothing is published unreviewed, and no content on this site is generated in bulk from a list of keywords.

Sourcing

Most of what is written here is sourced from our own code, which is the primary source for any claim about how our games behave. Where a guide refers to something external — a browser API, an accessibility standard, the rules of the real sport — it links to the authoritative source for that thing.

We do not cite statistics we cannot trace to a named source, and we do not invent figures to make a point. If a number is not available, the guide says so instead of estimating one.

Updates and corrections

Game descriptions are reviewed whenever the game they describe changes. If a difficulty value, a timing window or a scoring rule is adjusted, the page is updated in the same change rather than afterwards.

Guides are reviewed at least annually and whenever a change to the engine affects what they say. Pages that have been substantively updated carry a visible updated date alongside the publication date.

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. A correction that changes the meaning of a page is noted on the page itself. A typo is simply fixed. If you spot an error, write to editorial@pingpongarcade.xyz and it will be looked at.

Originality

All written content on this site is original. Nothing is scraped, spun, auto-rewritten from search results or reproduced from another publication. The guides exist because there was something specific to explain about these games, which is also why there are not several near-identical versions of each one targeting keyword variations.
