Claims about our own games
Any statement on this site about how one of our games behaves is checked against that game's configuration or code before publication. When a page says a paddle is fifteen world units wide, a perfect window is seventy milliseconds, or a difficulty ramp takes a hundred and five seconds, those figures are read out of the game rather than estimated.
This is the reason game pages carry specific numbers at all. A vague description cannot be wrong, but it also cannot help anybody; a specific one can be checked, and is.
Arcade mechanics versus the real sport
This is the distinction the site takes most seriously, because it is the one easiest to blur. The physics in these games are an arcade model. They were tuned to be responsive and readable on a screen, not to reproduce what a celluloid ball does in air.
Every guide that describes a mechanic states which it is describing. Guides about spin, bounce, serving and paddle contact say explicitly that they are explaining our model. Where the real sport is mentioned, we point at the International Table Tennis Federation for the actual rules rather than paraphrasing them from memory.
We do not publish coaching advice for the real sport, because we are not qualified to and because advice that works in an arcade game is not advice that works across a real table.
Numbers we will not publish
A static site cannot measure a global audience, so this site does not claim one. There are no player counts, no download figures, no ratings, no review scores, no rankings and no survey results anywhere on Ping Pong Arcade, because none of them could be verified and all of them would be invented.
- No global leaderboards or high-score tables — scores are local to your browser
- No player, visitor or download counts
- No star ratings, testimonials or user reviews
- No market statistics or survey data without a named, linkable source
- No awards, certifications, partnerships or media coverage claims
Where the popular games page gets its order
The popular games page is ordered by signals from your own browser: how often you have played each game on this device, and which ones you have saved as favourites. Before you have played anything it falls back to our editorial picks and says so on the page.
It is labelled that way deliberately. Presenting one device's activity as a site-wide popularity ranking would be a fabricated statistic, which is exactly what this policy exists to prevent.
External sources
When a guide refers to a browser capability, it links to the relevant MDN documentation. When it refers to an accessibility requirement, it links to the W3C's guidance. When it refers to web performance, it links to the published Core Web Vitals definitions. When it refers to the rules of table tennis, it links to the sport's governing body.
We link to primary sources rather than summarising them, and we do not cite a source we have not read.
Corrections
Errors are fixed as soon as they are confirmed. A correction that changes what a page means is noted on the page itself with the date and what changed. A typo or a broken link is fixed silently.
If a game changes in a way that makes an existing page wrong, the page is updated as part of that change rather than left to be caught later. Report anything you think is inaccurate to editorial@pingpongarcade.xyz.
